Universal Fire Damper FDU-1H

The purpose of universal fire dampers is the automatic blocking of openings in enclosing building structures, closing technological openings and ventilation passageways located between floors, in walls and partitions; closing supply and exhaust channels of smoke- and fire-resistant ventilation of buildings and structures.

The FDU-1H damper consists of an actuator, body, and flap (blade).

FDU-1H dampers are equipped with the following types of actuators:

• electric actuator with built-in return spring and thermal release device;
• electromagnet with return spring and fusible link (72 °C);
• "open/close" type electric actuator;
• electromagnet with return spring;
• control panel.

The damper actuators use drives from "Belimo" and "Siemens".

The damper body is made of steel or stainless sheet metal and can be circular or rectangular in cross-section.

• rectangular dampers — body depth L 180 mm, working cross-section A×B ranging from 100×100 mm to 2000×1600 mm;
• circular dampers — body depth L ranging from 220 mm to 415 mm, diameter D up to 1000 mm.

Flaps (blades) are made of insulating lime-silicate board.

Damper characteristics:

• tested in accordance with EN 1366-2 in combination with EN 1363-1;
• can be used in potentially explosive environments;
• fire resistance according to EN 13501-3 + A1 in the range EI 45 to EI 120;
• maximum velocity in the cross-section 12 m/s;
• maximum pressure drop across the damper 1,200 Pa.
